WELCOME TO 2019-2020!!

As we settle into another year of school, we want to welcome everyone back to VALLEY Lacrosse!!

And thank a few first too…

First, we want to thank Lynette and Steve Kueltzo for spending countless hours helping build Valley Lacrosse into such a great program! They were instrumental to moving a small club team to a playoff winning Varsity program. Good luck to Ragan and Whitney in college!!!

Also, we wish great success to Keya Fowler!! We will miss the constant help and great attitude of our trusty manager!! Unfortunately, we will attempt to replace an irreplaceable spirit!!

Last, we wish great success to all the families leaving us… the Kozinskis and Montinis will be missed for the all the help and support they provided each of the 4 years their girls played… good luck to Meg and Katie!!!

We said this last year, but it’s true again… “Last season was another giant leap forward but there are small steps that we can take to keep the momentum… “

1) All: There will be plenty of information about off-season training, Captains’ practices, “Fall Ball”, and tournaments coming across your emails, so please take time to update and ensure your contact information is correct and complete in TeamApp.

2) Players: connect with and recruit girls to join Valley Lacrosse to share your love of the team and the fun of lacrosse with others!! And, if you are new, or know someone new, please contact Ellie, Raegan, Jenna or Bridget to join the 2019-20 group chat. Stay connected! Follow @valleywlax AND @valleywlax_news.

3) Parents: join your Boosters!! This year, Coach Sean and the team will be asking the Boards of Metea’s and Waubonsie’s Boosters for support in purchasing more players’ gear. The Boosters love seeing a high percentage of players’ parents as members!! In fact, we won an award for having the highest percentage of members in 2018 which helped offset some costs since. We hope to win that award again this year after water polo (boo!!) snagged it in 2019. (And, as always, we need volunteers for concessions! Please help as much as you can!)

4) All: last, please reach out to me if you have suggestions for team get-togethers, need information, or general questions. We are planning a Parents’ Preseason night in December or January and would love feedback.

5) Last, Cindy and Marc Dupuis and Kelly and Todd Urbon have volunteered to take on bigger roles for supporting Sean and the team … we also welcome anyone else who might want to help out.

Can’t wait to see the steps we take this year and the successes that follow!!!
